Travers de Pechméja
We are located in the Quercy, a land of contrasts sitting between the valleys of the Lot and the Célé, a land of stone and kingdom of water.
Welcome to the Travers de Pechméja.
Gite and ‘Chambre d’hotes’
Our property is located on the edge of the Causse National Park, in a beautiful, wooded, wild and well preserved environment where some exceptional sites and monuments, created by nature and by man, are located. In this wonderful setting we offer 2 guest rooms in the main house ‘chambre d’hôtes’ and 1 gite with a maximum capacity of 9 people.
Thanks to the 360 ° photos presented on the site you can get a realistic idea of our property. So we wish you a good explore of our little haven of peace in which we will be happy to welcome you all year round.
What is our mission?
"Beyond the traditional services inherent in vacation rentals where we seek to ensure the comfort and well-being of our guests, our wish is to help our guests to discover the people, the region and its products. Obviously without any obligation and respecting your wish for privacy."
The property
Our property is located on the edge of the valley "Travers de Pechméjà", from which the property takes its name. Here you will be in the perfect place to enjoy one of the last "black triangles" of France where very low light pollution means a night sky of almost unique purity.
The site consists of two authentic and renovated buildings from the eighteenth century located on one hectare of garden and woods with feature dry stone walls. Two guest rooms in the main house (chambre d’hôtes) and a cottage give a maximum accommodation capacity of 9 guests, and are ideal for family gatherings. The cottage and both guest rooms have their own secluded outdoor area, and the common areas such as the swimming pool and jacuzzi provide space for socialising.

The following images show some of the most interesting sights within an hour's drive of Travers de Pechméjà.
The Lot an exceptional territory...
The Lot department, located in the Occitane region of France, is a tourist destination of choice for all lovers of nature, history and gastronomy. With its hilly landscapes, winding rivers and valleys, and picturesque villages, the Lot offers an ideal setting to recharge your batteries and relax.
One of the main assets of the Lot is its exceptional natural heritage. The Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park, which covers more than 180,000 hectares, is a true jewel of biodiversity, home to rare and protected animal and plant species. Hiking enthusiasts can explore the many marked trails that criss-cross the park, and admire spectacular landscapes, such as the majestic limestone cliffs of the Causse and the beautiful green river valleys.
The Lot is also rich in historical and cultural heritage. Many sites bear witness to the region's long history, from prehistoric dolmens to medieval castles and fortified villages. The famous village of Rocamadour clinging to a sheer valley side, and St Cirq la Popie perched above the Lot River valley, are must-sees, as are the prehistoric caves of Lascaux, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Lot is also renowned for its gastronomy, which showcases local products such as foie gras, duck confit, truffles and Cahors wines. Local markets are full of fresh produce and artisanal specialties, a feast for the eyes as much as the palate.
The Lot is a leading tourist destination, combining un-spoilt nature, rich historical and cultural heritage, and quality gastronomy. Whether you are looking for relaxation, exploration, or just a change of scenery, the Lot will satisfy all your desires.
